About the Codling Wind Park project

Codling Wind Park is a proposed offshore wind farm in the Irish Sea, set in an area called the Codling Bank, approximately 13-22 kilometres off the County Wicklow coast, between Greystones and Wicklow Town.  The project is the most significant of Irish offshore wind projects and was successful in the first ORESS auction that was completed in May of last year. The project will submit its planning application to An Bord Pleanála in the coming months, expects to commence construction in 2026 and be operational by 2028.Codling Wind Park is a 50:50 joint venture between EDF Renewables and Fred. Olsen Seawind.With an expected capacity of up to 1300 megawatts (MW), it has the potential to supply the equivalent of up to 1.2 million Irish homes – 70% of all Irish households – with low-carbon, locally-produced, low-cost electricity, and to save almost 2 million tonnes of carbon emissions every year.Representing one of the largest energy infrastructure investments in Ireland this decade, the project will deliver substantial benefits to the regional and national economy, including more than 1,000 construction jobs and around 75 long-term, locally based jobs.Further information is available at  www.codlingwindpark.ie.Subject to all necessary permits and consents being received, Codling Wind Park could begin construction in late 2025. Construction is expected to take two to three years to complete.

Job Purpose

Codling Wind Park Ltd is seeking an Admin Assistant to support the project team in its new office in Leopardstown, Co. Dublin.   This is an office-based role so local candidates with knowledge of the surrounding areas are preferred.

Key Accountabilities

The key accountabilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Welcoming visitors to the project office
  • Managing the allocation of desks and meeting rooms
  • Maintaining out-of-office records
  • Ensuring adequate stocks of stationery and office supplies
  • Ordering catering for meetings and onsite events
  • Ordering and maintaining stocks of PPE
  • Assisting the project team with travel arrangements
  • Assisting with the preparation of letters, reports and presentations
  • Booking off-site meeting venues and organising off-site events
  • Supporting the Project PA and project team with ad hoc admin duties
  • Uploading documents on the project’s document management system – training will be given
  • Dealing with and/or re-directing contractor and supplier queries
  • Issuing and updating corporate policies and checking for adherence to these policies
  • Fire Warden duties – training will be given
  • First Aider duties – training will be given
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained and all HSSE policies are adhered to in the office
  • Carrying out other ad hoc activities required to achieve Company’s objectives; being proactive in meeting Project objectives; being a team player.

Person Specification

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • You will be an energetic person, with a positive disposition – especially important given the role and its importance to everyone in the business
  • Strong attention to detail is needed, you will be highly organised and adept at pre-empting things
  • Solution-focused with good judgement
  • Administration and communication skills
  • Have good interpersonal skills to assist team members
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Power Point and SharePoint)
  • Full driving licence
  • Basic First Aid an advantage but training will be given
