New Memory Café launched in Wicklow Town
A local community group has launched a new ‘Memory Café’ in Wicklow Town as a key support for people with dementia, their carers and families.Organisers say the Memory Café, which is being supported by Codling Wind Park, will take place once a month in The Pastoral Centre in the town and will be a free, safe and welcoming space for people affected by dementia and their carers and family members.
Students at Educate Together Secondary School Wicklow prepare for Climate Future Conference
Excitement is mounting among fifth-year students at Educate Together Secondary School, Wicklow (ETSSW) as they prepare to host a major youth climate conference later this month.The students, who are amongst the first in the country to undertake the subject of Climate Action and Sustainable Development (CASD) for their Leaving Certificate, are finalising preparations for the conference which is entitled ‘Our Climate, Our Future’.
